Sangria
Tapas Bar Restaurant is by
far my favorite place to dine
in Sarasota. The atmosphere
is always upbeat and the food
is excellent. I'm happy to
see they added outside tables
and I noticed they are also
open on Sundays. Sangria is
a great addition to Main Street
and it's a great place to
bring friends. Season is here
but it's sure worth the wait
to get in.

My
girlfriend and I went to Sangria's
this afternoon for lunch and
were we surprised at this
restaurant! When we stepped
inside the decor grabbed us
immediately. Very Spanish
colorful dining room. Very
inviting! Carlos was our waiter
and very pleasant with a nice
smile. We ordered the sangria
$4.25 for a very generous
glass. I had the Red and my
girlfriend had the Rose. Both
were absolutely terrific.
We sampled each others. Next
time and there will be a next
time, we will try the white
sangria. The waiter brought
our drinks and a nice plate
of spanish bread with a nice
wedge of butter, soft to spread.
I tried the Tostada de Pisto
which is toasted bread topped
with sauteed garlic, eggplant,
peppers, onions, zucchini,
manchego cheese and olive
oil accompanied with a mixed
green salad $4.95. My friend
ordered the Gambas y Aguacate
which is a shrimp salad with
fresh avocado and onions,
tomatoes on a spanish bread
$7.25. We shared the two and
they were just delightful
and very filling. We than
ordered dessert which was
called Platanos con Caramelo
that consisted of saute bananas
and vanilla ice cream topped
with goats milk and caramel
and pistachio nut. It was
not only wonderful but the
presentation was just as good.
$5.95. We are going again
next week to try a couple
more of their small dishes.
This is a Keeper!!!!

Sangria
Restaurant seems to be the
talk of the town so I had
to see what it was all about.
Let’s just say it was
the best meal and time I had
in awhile. The food was just
to die for and the pan perdido
bread budding was the best
I ever ate. I tried all three
sangria flavors and the red
was my favorite. The staff
was very friendly and the
service was excellent. I will
be sure to tell others and
go back with friends to enjoy
more Tapas dishes.
