😎 AH, THE ISLAND LIFESTYLE
We all live or vacation here for a reason. A lot of those reasons include our beautiful weather and beaches. There is also no snow shoveling required. That’s a BIG plus too!
As far as brands go, there isn’t a name more associated with that theme than Tommy Bahama. Whether you’re buying one of their signature pieces of casual wear or sipping on a rum drink, TB will get you in the mood!
• Tommy Bahama is no newcomer to this whole casual lifestyle thing. Their first restaurant opened back in 1996 in Naples, FL. But they’ve been clothing us in non-stop “vacation mode” for 30+ years!

IT’S EASY TO GET THAT ISLAND TIME FEELING!
🎶 Yes, they have LIVE Happy Hour music! What did you expect from Tommy? There is nothing that says “Let the Happy Hour Begin” than maybe a little Boat Drink music. I think most of us can agree on that.
• Happy Hour Tommy Bahama style is a “Bar Only” event. They have a comfy bar area for you to make some new friends or just hang with some old ones.
• Of course, they have beer. It’s not a super extensive selection that you may find at other places around town. But handmade craft cocktails are really more their thing.
Yeah, I’m usually a beer guy. But I was not about to let the opportunity slip to let my expert mixologist, Alexandra, show me how a Mai Tai gets made the Tommy Bahama way.

🤷🏻♂️ WHAT’S THIS PLACE LIKE?
It’s the definition of “Upscale Casual.” You’ll feel comfortable in your preferred choice of island wear. Probably not a bathing suit. But also, definitely not a tux! 🤵🏻♂️
• The bar is long and comfortable.
• There’s not a ton of standing room here. But there is lots of sitting space. There are also a few booths that run just opposite the bar.
• You’ll be greeted by a friendly host and seated at either a table (if you’re having lunch or dinner) or directed to the bar to start your happy hour adventure!

They offer seven happy hour bites priced from $7 to $10. The options include their World-Famous Coconut Shrimp! 🦐
Other choices: Warm Goat Cheese Dip • Duo of Dips • Pulled Pork Sliders • Cheeseburger Sliders • Hummus with Garlic Bread • Blackened Mahi Tacos
🍸 MORE THAN JUST FOOD
To accompany all of that delicious food, you’re going to need some adult beverages. There are 13 wine options, five handmade cocktails, five martini variations, well-drink specials, and one draft beer. 🍺 I’m not 100% sure why there’s only one draft beer. That’s just the way it is.

From the test kitchen. The day that we made our stop, we were lucky enough to get a taste of a dish that may, at some point, hit the happy hour menu.
These need to be made available to the general appetizer-eating public immediately. These didn’t seem like they needed any more perfecting.
Here we go with our thoughts on the Tommy Bahama Happy Hour.
👨🏻🦱 TIM’S TIPS
• Perfect, comfortable interior. Just what you would expect from the Tommy Bahama brand.
• Great craft drink. They’re using fresh squeezed juices in all of their recipes.
• Lots and lots of choices. There is something here for everyone and every taste.
🙍🏻♂️ LARRY LIKES
• The bar staff here is first-rate. Alexandra knows how to mix up a memorable cocktail.
• This is a quieter atmosphere. More “adult-like” than some happy hour spots you could pick. If this is your crowd, you will love it!
• The live music adds to the happy hour wind-down atmosphere. After all, it is “Island Time”!

✅ BOTTOM LINE
A solid happy hour experience. It’s a little bit of an older crowd. It’s St. Armands. The parking garage helps. But this will be a challenge in season. Solution: Go Now! The craft cocktails are the star of the beverage side of the menu. The Mahi Tacos and Coconut Shrimp lead the way on the food end of things. Bar seating = an opportunity to make some new friends!
