Our very own Beach Bistro, located on Anna Maria Island has been awarded the highest Zagat rating in the state of Florida. The critical acclaimed restaurant was given 28 of a possible 30 points for food excellence and 27 of a possible 30 points for service. Upon receiving the news, Beach Bistro Proprietor Sean Murphy said, We strive every single day to make our guests experience memorable, comfortable and exceed their expectations. Murphy has operated the Anna Maria Island restaurant for the past 23 years.
Zagat is recognized as one of the top restaurant rating organizations in the country. They have been rating restaurants in Florida for the past ten years. Beach Bistro is located at 6600 Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach.
We have lived in Sarasota County for over 15 years, but last Saturday night was our first visit to the Beach Bistro. We can’t believe what we have been missing for these past 15 years. There were 7 of us for dinner, and even though we arrived 20 minutes before their opening time, we were shown to our table rather than having to wait in the hot sun until their official opening time of 5:00PM. Others had told us what a great restaurant this is, but what followed exceeded our expectations in every detail. Excellent service, wonderful food choices for each course, allperfectly prepared and beautifully presented. And little extras all during our meal. We brought 2 “foodies” from Santa Barbara, California with us, and they raved about every aspect of the dinner, the wines, and the service. We can’t wait to go back again.
