New restaurant is making an early Southside Village splash
We all love to eat. Especially when someone else does all of the work. I’m talking about the cooking, serving, AND dishes. What’s not to like, right?
One thing that’s great about our local Sarasota dining scene is that we have options. Lots of options. One more just got added to the mix in Southside Village. Blase Bistro and Martini Bar. It’s only been open for a few weeks, so maybe you haven’t had a chance to sample their menu for yourself. No problem, we’ve got you covered. Executive Chef, Michelle Wolforth and Consulting Chef, Mike Isabella have put together a menu that really sings. Here’s a little taste of what they’re cooking up on Hillview Street.
A super unique appetizer. The ground lamb is perfectly spiced and mixes well with the hummus. Unique for sure.
Even if you don’t like beets (which I can’t even imagine) this salad is a knockout. All you have to do is try it one time!
Yes, it seems like mussels are on lots and lots of menus right now. Obviously, use that bread to get every last drop of that savory curry broth. Remember, it’s bad manners to lick the bowl!
Perfectly cooked and plated. Melt in your mouth goodness.
I realize there are people out there that claim not to like duck. I don’t get that. I really don’t. I mean have they ever tried it? Or, are these the same folks who are in the “I don’t like lamb” camp? One forkful of this rich and delicious dish will make even a diehard non-ducker a fan!
Definitely enough for 2-3 people to share. Just so you’re aware, when this arrives at your table everyone goes, “WOW” pretty much all at the same time!
Gotta finish strong with a decadent dessert. This was it for sure.
Here’s a look at the whole Blase Bistro menu if you’d like to have a peek.
Just FYI, Blase Blase Bistro has a few end of the year holiday events scheduled.
A Christmas Eve Feast of Seven Fishes and A New Years’ Eve Masquerade Ball. For more info or reservations, 941-312-6850.
