Cinebistro, More Than Dinner and a Movie
This is a complete entertainment experience that will keep you coming back for more.
Their tagline is “Movies With Taste”. But, in reality, the brand new Cinebistro is SO much more than that. Set to open Friday, February 12th, this state-of-the-art movie house/restaurant will have your head spinning.
I’m going to just come out and say it. This place is cool. I love going to the movies. I really do. But this is so much more than just a movie experience. This gives the old, well-worn “dinner and a movie” a brand new definition.
This sparkling new theater sports seven state-of-the-art digital “auditoriums” showing the best in first-run movies and special cinema events. Each auditorium is fitted with super comfortable leather recliners and swivel dining tables. Every seat has the perfect view.
But, what sets this new movie showplace apart is the food (and drinks, of course). There’s something for every taste, with a food menu that features over 30+ appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, salads, and sides. This isn’t a situation of having to sacrifice convenience over deliciousness. These dishes can hold up on their own even without the movie.
Let’s take a sneak preview at some of the stars of the show.
We can kick things off in the bar with a full menu of adult beverages. After all, this is a 21+ theater after 6PM.
Once you’ve gotten in the proper frame of mind, it’s food time!
Let’s start things off with a couple of appetizers. Above is the Provoleta. Terracotta baked Provolone with roasted peppers, green chimichurri, and garlic bread. Obviously, great for sharing.
The Korean BBQ Chicken Wings are crispy and carry that signature Korean spice. They’re served with house-made kimchi. Not to worry, they have plenty of wet wipes.
If a salad is more your style, you’ve got some nice choices. The “Cobb” Salad is gluten-free and has all of the Cobb components you would expect, topped with a creamy lemon-basil dressing.
Lots and lots of entree choices, including the Seared Scallops with Basil Brown Butter above. The cauliflower puree really makes this dish something special.
Did you think we would forget about dessert? What kind of a food-centric website do you think we’re running here? Of course, we remembered dessert. Here’s a Red Velvet Lava Cake with cream cheese semi-freddo and a decadent burnt marshmallow to top things off.
Well, that’s the end of our little coming attraction. Oh, you say you would like to see the feature film? I would highly recommend that. Here’s a link to buy tickets and reserve your seat for a truly unique Sarasota dinner and a movie experience.
FYI – Even if you’re not taking in a show, you can still have drinks and dinner. No theater ticket required!
The new Cinebistro is located in the completely renovated Sak’s 5th Avenue space in the Westfield Southgate Mall.
