We’re at the halfway mark. Time to let that belt out a notch.
You guys are doing great! I mean that. It’s not easy to tackle this list of Sarasota restaurants and still look forward to another whole week. I’m really proud of you.
Since it’s the weekend, why don’t we use this for a bit of catch-up and reflection. Here are some tibits for you to chew on while you take a breather.
There are now sixty Sarasota area restaurants listed on the official Savor Sarasota website. Visit Sarasota County has added in some latecomers since we started last Monday. Here are the late arrivals:
Apollonia Grill
The Chart House
Drunken Poet Cafe
Lido Beach Grille
Off The Hook Seafood Company
Painters Palate
Phillipi Creek Oyster Bar
Savory Street Cafe
Stonewood Grill
The Back Eddy Bistro
White Horse Pub
All in all, eleven new places to choose from. We’ve also updated our official dineSarasota 2015 Savor Sarasota Restaurant Checklist. It’s yours just for the clicking. Trust me, you’re going to need a scorecard.
As long as we’re kicking back and taking it easy, let’s take a look at some restaurant week facts. Let’s talk geography. Here’s the restaurant location breakdown of this years participants. SPOILER ALERT – If you live downtown, lucky you!
Downtown Sarasota – 33%
Venice Area – 11%
South Tamiami Trail – 10%
Longboat Key – 8%
Siesta Key – 6%
Lakewood Ranch/UTC – 6%
St. Armands – 5%
Southside Village – 3%
Southgate – 1%
Gulf Gate – 1%
Downtown Sarasota checks in with a whopping twenty restaurants. That means you could fill out your Savor Sarasota dance card and never have to leave the comfort for your own neighborhood. That is nice!
OK, that’s it. Keep on eating. We’re counting on you. Also, as a note, we’re taking Sunday off. It’s a day of rest and we need to get our eating pants let out. We’ll be back at bright and early Monday AM.
