THANKS, SORRY AND LET’S GO!… If you’ve been keeping score at home (which you’ve probably have been way to busy to do). you will notice that it’s been almost exactly one year since we posted one of these Tasting Notes updates. That’s bad. I’ll be the first to admit it. So, I’m vowing to do better in the coming year. Let’s start things off right now shall we…
RING IN THE NEW YEAR… Yes, it snuck up on you once again. Unless you throw an elaborate NYE party for two hundred of your nearest and dearest, you may be looking for something to do. Fear not party people. We’ve got some suggestions for ringing in the new year.
Pier 22 has a New Years Eve buffet and a champagne waterfall to wash all of the great food down with. The Beach House in Bradenton Beach is hosting a “not to be missed” NYE bash including a fireworks display! If fireworks aren’t your thing, D’Corato Ristorante is hosting a $45PP NYE dinner for the quieter crowd.
There are lots and lots of New Years dining options around Sarasota. Your best bet may be to call your favorite spots to see what they’re cooking up.

DOS FAJITAS POR FAVOR… You say you like fajitas. Who doesn’t. The smell of that dish coming out of the kitchen in intoxicating enough. Ah, the smell and the sizzle. Until the end of December, El Toro Bravo is dishing up Fajitas for Two for the super price of $$29.95. I just love this place! A really nice, family owned spot. You’ve got a pretty short window here. So, get in there and eat!
OPENINGS… There have been a ton lately. None bigger (and more hyped) than the opening of Sol Meyer’s NY Delicatessen. Great food, there will be a line. We had some thoughts on the opening. Check out our post. Some other places, Fresh Kitchen and Daily Eats out in the Lakewood Ranch area. The Rosemary takes the place of Savory Street Cafe downtown north of Fruitville.
