Ill keep this brief (because frankly, its a little embarrassing for me).
Do you see that mound of mouthwatering BBQ? Do you know what that means?
Nancys Bar-B-Q is officially/unofficially open for business! But, you probably already knew that. Its called a soft opening by people in the restaurant biz. Call it what you will, you can now enjoy Nancys delicious BBQ in her brand new home in the Burns Court neighborhood. 301 South Pineapple Avenue to be exact.
Of course, Im pretty excited about the news. Like most people, Ive been anxiously waiting for the doors to open. So I could enjoy Nancys food on a regular basis.
Heres where it gets embarrassing (for me anyway). I’ve had my social networking antenna up checking Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and any other place I could think of for clues as to when the amazing BBQ would start flowing. The sad thing is, I think I was the LAST person to find out! How can that be? Im supposed to be plugged in to the Sarasota food scene. I think Im slipping (or something). Im trying to pay attention, promise.
When the next hugely anticipated Sarasota restaurant opening takes place, Ill try and keep you more in the loop. Hopefully, Ill be in the loop with you. Sorry.
Im going to have a proper story about Nancys food somewhere down the road. At least I hope. Until then, here are the basics to get you started.
